Birmingham Eastside Incubator Service
Birmingham Technology Ltd
Development of the Business Plan for business start-up services, for economic sectors ranging from high growth, high technology to more traditional businesses while encompassing the creative industries.

The company has experience of establishing community-based initiatives and social businesses including the creative industries.  This experience has enabled PABD successfully to secure European funding on behalf of Blackpool Borough Council for the following projects:

Blackpool City Learning Centre, Community TV Studio
Secured £250K of ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) to equip this state-of-the-art studio, the first of its kind in the region, to produce community-based programmes in deprived wards of Blackpool

Layton Library ICT Learning Centre, Blackpool
Secured £180K of ERDF for ICT equipment including digital imaging and multi-media software, for public access for people in the deprived wards of Blackpool.  The output digital artwork and other material created can be displayed on large plasma screens in public places.

Blackpool Money Line
This initiative will bring low cost, high risk loans to Blackpool mainstream and social businesses in the deprived wards.  PABD prepared the Business Plan and ERDF application securing £130K for the project.

Drugs Worker Accredited Volunteering
This is a capital project for the development of a centre for drug users that will provide a national level accreditation for volunteers from Blackpool’s deprived wards.  It will help substance abusers directly as well as providing development for volunteers who will go on to full-time employment.  PABD prepared the Business Plan and ERDF application securing £140K of European funding.
